How transport infrastructure is responding to the climate and ecological emergencies through both mitigation and adaptation
The environment stream addresses the climate resilience of transport systems and the response through infrastructure interventions to the climate and ecological emergencies.
The programme looks at both the need to mitigate against carbon emissions and nature depletion; and adapting existing infrastructure so that it is resilient in the face of increasing weather extremes.
The environment sessions will tackle the imperative, the why, the what and the how of transforming transport infrastructure so that our transport systems continue to function and are fit for a climate and nature-friendly future. The environment stream covers:
