Jim Brewin
Chief Director of UK & Ireland, Hitachi Rail

Based at Hitachi Rail’s head office in London, Jim became Chief Director of UK & Ireland in January 2020. In this role Jim has strategic oversight for all operations in the Vehicles business, including the running of 300 trains, project delivery, and over 2,600 staff.

Prior to this appointment and over a 16 year period with the company, Jim has undertaken a variety of senior global and regional

roles such as UK Projects Director, where he led the team that delivered over 100 train sets to market over a 12 month period; Head of Group CEO Office, where he was assigned to a series of special projects related to group strategy and M&A activity; and UK Head of Business Development, leading the team who delivered new rolling stock contract wins amounting to a £2 billion order intake for the Hitachi Rail Group company
