Allstar and Connected Kerb increase fleet access to long-dwell charging

Fuel and EV charging payment company Allstar has announced a strategic partnership with chargepoint provider Connected Kerb adding nearly a thousand charges to the Allstar One Electric charging card.

Connected Kerb’s chargers mostly offer long-stay charging, with chargepoints typically found on roadsides and in residential areas, as well as in hotel carparks and leisure parks.

The collaboration increases Allstar’s road-based offering to fleet owned drivers who need overnight charging but do not have at-home chargers. Some 60% of current UK residents do not have access to a driveway or are unable to install a charger at home, potentially hindering the adoption of EVs.

Chris Pateman-Jones, CEO of Connected Kerb, said, “With a focus on providing affordable, reliable and accessible long-dwell charging point infrastructure across the UK, we aim to promote and accelerate the adoption of EVs. Of course, we cannot do this alone, which is why we are delighted to partner with Allstar to increase EV adoption amongst the UK’s fleets.”

This partnership with Connected Kerb brings Allstar’s overall chargepoint total to more than 8,400 at more than 3,000 locations. Allstar’s network now includes: Geniepoint, Source London, ESB Energy, Osprey, Alfa Power, Franklin LiFe, Mer, Plug-N-Go, Charge My Street, Allego and Gridserve. Allstar hopes that its agreement with Connect Kerb will increase both the size and accessibility of its network for UK motorists.
