Innovative payment model creates London’s most affordable e-bike delivery solution

London-based shared micromobility startup HumanForest has announced a partnership with food delivery company Deliveroo which offers Deliveroo riders an affordable payment model to boost sustainable delivery across London on HumanForest’s e-bikes.

The partnership builds on Deliveroo’s ambition to give customers choice and a quality service in a sustainable way. The link-up also supports HumanForest’s mission to transform the way that people and businesses can access clean, green shared mobility solutions.

Deliveroo riders will have access to the green e-bike platform by purchasing bundles of minutes as and when they need them, for making deliveries or for leisure.

HumanForest’s standard model offers users 10 minutes of free usage per day, followed by rates of £0.15 per minute. Under the Deliveroo agreement, bundles expire in 24 hours, but offer riders discounts of up to 80%.

This innovative payment model, says HumanForest, has created the most affordable and accessible e-bike solution in the capital for delivery riders and last-mile delivery.

HumanForest hopes the partnership will allow more businesses and consumers to make sustainable trips around the capital. Principally, it says, the scheme is hoping to support riders who often cycle but are unable to access their own personal bike on that day, or those who are not comfortable investing outright in an ebike.

Potentially it could also encourage scooter, motorbike and car delivery drivers to convert to electric mobility solutions. HumanForest recently announced it will soon be launching the UK’s first fleet of shared e-mopeds.

Laura Elms, Head of Sales & Partnerships at HumanForest, said, “This is a huge endorsement for HumanForest and a really important moment for Deliveroo riders. This partnership has been designed with delivery riders front and centre of mind, making access to affordable e-bikes a reality for them. The partnership will offer a sustainable and accessible platform which supports delivery riders whilst also bolstering our vision of a cleaner, greener world for all.”
