Interchange 25 hits the mark other transport events can’t reach
With the dust settling on Interchange 25, we are delighted to confirm Interchange will be back at Manchester Central on 3/4 March 2026.
Visitor numbers at this year’s event increased by a quarter compared to 2024; attendance across the two days of just over 2500 is double that achieved at the launch event just two years ago. More than 30% of visitors and speakers were women, markedly higher than the industry average.
Visitor ratings were also up from an already exceptional base, with four out of five reporting the event to be excellent or very good.
With over 200 top-drawer speakers across six theatres, visitors praised the depth and breadth of the programmes and the value and importance of the speaker insights.
Here are some of the comments we picked up from LinkedIn:
“Incredibly hard to summarise what an event like Interchange can do for both an industry and each of the people who attended BUT also those that can’t or don’t attend”
“Wow Interchange – what a two days that was! More content, more people, more mixing of specialisms, and importantly more exciting conversations to listen to and join”
“Let's just say there was some serious energy at Interchange 2025”
“It was powerful to see diverse perspectives come together and have common themes highlighted! Excited for future collaborations!”
“Interchange 25 full of ideas and most importantly action”
We could go on – there were many hundreds of detailed posts flagging insights and highlights, but we’ll name check the source of the final comment. Vernon Everitt, Transport Commissioner for Greater Manchester said, “It’s fantastic having such an important event held here in Manchester and we are delighted you will be back again next year.”
But before that we will of course be continuing our weekly news digest, podcasts, guest blogs and look out too for enhanced outputs from Interchange 25 including videos and reports from all the sessions and roundtables, presentations, photos and our newly introduced webinar series, all designed to continue the conversation.
