Jonathan Moseley

Head of infrastructure, CBRE

Jonathan leads CBRE’s Strategic Advisory team which helps clients to develop and implement successful business strategies, programmes and transactions to unlock value and achieve competitive advantage from their real assets across infrastructure and real estate. The team works with clients across the full lifecycle, from strategic inception to implementation, operation and exit. His career in infrastructure and real assets has been dedicated to the analysis, successful development and delivery of strategic initiatives, programmes and transactions, and to leading teams whose success is rooted in helping clients achieve their desired outcomes.


Matthew Butters

Aviation Director, Pascall+Watson

Matthew is Pascall+Watson’s Aviation Director, is a board member and Deputy Chair of the British Aviation Group. He has been involved in some of the UK’s most prestigious and time critical aviation schemes and has worked extensively across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the US. Matthew regularly speaks at international conferences and industry forums as a subject expert.


Rosie Haslem

Managing Director, Streetsense UK

Rosie is Managing Director of Streetsense UK, a place strategy and branding consultancy helping clients reimagine, activate and transform their spaces into vibrant places, which are rich in experience, community and value.

With a unique background in human geography, architecture, urban design, and brand experience, Rosie has a deep interest in people, place and culture, and the relationship between them. She is passionate about the role design and storytelling can play in influencing human movement, behaviour and interaction - and crafting space with this in mind.

Rosie has been working in the built environment sector for over 10 years, helping diverse clients establish bold visions for the future, and collaborating with designers to translate these visions into boundary-pushing yet deeply functional places to live, work and play.


Martin Phillips

Head of Customer Strategy, East West Rail 

Martin has always worked in customer facing roles, whether in his early career working in hotels and restaurants and or since joining the railway industry. He joined rail in 2002 and has undertaken various customer facing roles at Virgin Trains and more recently supporting the development of customer experience at HS2. Now at East West Railway Company he is looking forward to being part of the development and delivery of customer experience on EWR, between Oxford and Cambridge.


Madhu Mehta

Associate Director, CBRE

A civil engineer by training Madhu leads CBRE’s sector propositions in business transformation and change, mergers and acquistions, and infrastructure, as well as leading projects across the other propositions offered within the team. Responsible for engaging internally and externally to generate work for clients and deliver the bids, pitches, and projects.


Ross Crawford

Senior Programme Manager, Design Council

As a Senior Programme Manager, Ross delivers the Design Council’s national infrastructure and place programmes – ranging from national community engagement programmes, embedded strategic design, and the facilitation of design advice. Among other roles, he currently oversees Network Rail’s Design Advice Panel.


Alistair Chapman

UK Development Advisory, CBRE

Alistair jointly leads CBRE's Development Advisory business from its Manchester base. Alistair advises clients on multiple property sectors across the UK. He specialises in complex development situations, where he strategically advises clients on how to maximise value, reduce risk and deliver. Key specialisms include City and Town Centre Regeneration, Local Authority Property Team and Asset Management Advice, Shopping Centre Acquisition & Development Strategy, Industrial Development, Residential Build to Rent, Student Accommodation and Workspace development.


Sam Cullen

George Beard

Head of New Mobility, TRL

Dr George Beard is Head of New Mobility at TRL. George’s background is in psychology, human factors, research methods and statistics. George leads studies of road user attitudes and behaviours to understand how to encourage greener travel whilst also ensuring transport is safe and accessible for all. George is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society, and a member of the International EV Policy Council.


Simone Gobber

Urban Design Associate, Barton Willmore, now Stantec

Simone is an urban designer and masterplanner with over ten years of experience working in the UK and also internationally. His work spans from the creation of new communities to urban regeneration, through every stage of the project from inception to delivery and construction.

Relying on a sound understanding of the masterplanning and delivery process, Simone managed to promote development that is attractive, sustainable and truly community-led. His care for the specificity of each site has enabled the creation of places that proudly embrace the local character and are truly unique, demonstrating at the same time the ability to translate placemaking aspirations into solutions that are commercially viable and technically deliverable. Simone is also a part time lecturer at the MA Urban Design of the University of Westminster.


David Wildman

Technical Director — Transport Planning, Sweco

David leads Sweco’s Local Government Transport team in the north of England which involves working collaboratively with local authorities to help solve problems, achieve objectives and help plan for the future. A Transport Planner working across the private and public sector, David has been involved in a variety of schemes including informing new strategy and policy, writing funding bids, leading business cases to secure major funding for improvement schemes, guiding urban regeneration projects, and directing infrastructure schemes.


Josh Berry

Business Development Manager, Balfour Beatty

Josh is Business Development Manager at Balfour Beatty. He is a results orientated professional with a determined and high-work ethic, combined with effective managerial and communication skills. He is able to work effectively in all aspects of an organisation and individually, embracing all challenges with commitment and an open-mind. Previous experience consists of account management and business development


John McHugh

Head of Place and Community, CBRE

John is a market-leader in placemaking and building brands within the property industry. With 15 years’ experience within the property industry across a range of client-side roles, he is passionate about place creation and customer experience. 


Paul Willis

Chief Development Officer, MAG

Paul is the Chief Development Officer for Manchester Airports Group. He joined MAG in 2015 and has held several senior positions including Group Engineering Services Director, and most recently Strategy and Group Aviation Director. Paul has over 30 years’ experience in airport management and prior to joining MAG, was the Global Head of Aviation for Arcadis where he held a number of management posts, including Technical Advisor to Abu Dhabi International Airport for the development of Terminal 3 and Programme Director for the construction of Lima Airport, Peru.


Jonathan Sharrock

HS2 Account Director, Arcadis

Jonathan is a senior Director at Arcadis and its account Director for HS2 leading on all of Arcadis’s engagements with the largest infrastructure project in the UK. He has spent more than 20 years on the leadership of major infrastructure projects, working specifically on the development of successful partnerships between Government and the private sector. This included the development of the business case for new runway capacity at UK airports, and the development of the aviation security regime in response to a changing terrorist threat. He led UK Government work on the delivery of transport for the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics and was Director in the DfT leading on the 2013 Strategic Case for HS2. From 2016 to 2022 he was Chief Executive of the Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership delivering more than £300m of capital investment into the regional economy from Brighton and the South Coast to Gatwick and South London.


Jonathan Bretherton

Managing Director, Urban Growth Company

Jonathan joined the Urban Growth Company (UGC) in January 2019 as Managing Director. He is a Chartered Development Surveyor, responsible for leading the Executive Team and working with the Board to deliver the ambitious growth plans across The Hub alongside key regional partners including Birmingham Airport, the NEC, Jaguar Land Rover, Birmingham Business Park and Arden Cross.

The plans envisage the creation of a unified place, collectively referred to as The Hub, stitching together a new multi-modal transport interchange at Birmingham International Station, the HS2 Interchange and adjoining Arden Cross mixed-use residential and commercial development, Metro and Sprint extensions from central Birmingham, new developments at the NEC and Birmingham Airport and Jaguar Land Rover’s proposals for its plant at Solihull.

Richard Seale

Independent designer, former lead automotive designer, seymourpowell

As the lead automotive designer of Seymourpowell, Richard was crucial to the expansion of the transport division in incorporating an automotive perspective. Joining Seymourpowell in 2010, he played a significant role in delivering a wide range of projects to clients such as Ford and British Airways. He also helped Seymourpowell revolutionise the automotive design process through the development of RealityWorks: a cutting-edge virtual reality design tool. Notably, his work has also involved conceptualising vehicles to explore the future of mobility, from automotive user experience visions, to autonomous vehicles.
