Roundtable

Disabled people make 38% fewer trips due to systematic challenges including policy, infrastructure and service design and commercial models. The National Centre for Accessible Transport (NCAT), a 7-year, £20m R&D programme funded by the Motability Foundation is addressing this deficiency head on, putting disabled people and their lived experiences at the heart of decision making to tackle some of the biggest challenges in making door-to-door trips in the UK. NCAT partner WSP will chair this roundtable session which will explore how a customer and use case-led approach across all modes can accelerate change and deliver wider benefits for other marginalised, forgotten or rarely considered travellers. Participants will learn insight from the programme to date; contribute to ideas that will help support the programme goals and learn about future collaboration opportunities with the NCAT programme.
